Kevin Fitzsimmons
Founder and Owner

Kevin is originally from Liverpool, U.K. and a life-long Everton fan. Kevin became head coach of the Weston High School Boys Soccer program in 2009 and since then the program has grown in strength with The Trojans winning their 2014 conference division for the first time in the schools history.  Since 2014 Weston have now own the conference in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.  Kevin was voted coach of the year in 2010, 2014, 2018, 2019 and was also nominated for the award in 2011, 2016 & 2017.

Kevin is also the current assistant coach on the Women's team at the University of New Haven.

Kevin served as coaching director for Manchester United Soccer Schools prior to leaving the UK for Connecticut. During his time with Manchester United, Kevin coached the Boys U18 National Team of Thailand. He also coached Broughton Hall School U12 & U13 Girl’s teams; winning the 2003-04 National Adidas Championship; Merseyside Cup Champions in 2002-03 and Merseyside cup runner up 2003-2004.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Sport Science/Coaching Science from Edge Hill University in Lancaster UK.

Chris Myers
Director of Girls Development

Chris grew up in Westport, CT and played High School soccer at Staples and a was part of two State Championship teams – 1981 and 1982 seasons.  Chris went on to play Division 1 soccer at the University of Vermont.  While working full time in business, Chris coached youth soccer in Portland, Oregon; Glenn Ellen and Naperville Illinois (Chicago suburbs); Westport, CT and Weston CT.  Chris is now a full-time coach in Weston along with running the Urban Impact non-profit organization in Bridgeport focused on working with at-risk kids from the PT Barnum public housing complex.  In Weston, Chris coaches the Weston FC high school  premier teams from November – August  During the fall seasons, Chris coaches U11 girls travel teams.  Chris is also a coach for the recreation soccer program (K-2nd grade), Junior academy and academy soccer in Weston.  Chris also coaches at two summer residential soccer camps.  BS in Business Administration.  Masters in Business Administration. 

National D license.  DOC Diploma.  Advanced National Diploma.

Lou is a director and social media coordinator here at Soccer Edge. Lou's dedication to becoming a coach stems from his days of playing.  Lou is born and raised in Connecticut, Lou played his collegiate ball at SUNY Ulster under George Vizvary. Before his college days Lou played for yankee united of Trumbull CT, while at the premier level Lou won 1 Open Cup, 3x time open cup finalist, 1 Richmond Cup title, He also played for the CT ODP and Region1 OPD team. He played at Brien McMahon High School where he earned multiply honors , All State 2nd team, 2x All Fciac 1st team, 1x All area MVP, 3x All area, 4 year varsity starter. Lou started coaching for San Diego Surf academy and came back to Connecticut and Joined the Soccer Edge team and is the Weston High School Varsity Assistant Head Coach.

Reuben Nkata was born and raised in Zambia where he played soccer and began his passionate soccer training before moving to the United States in 2004. Naturally, he took his soccer skills and fun loving attitude to coaching soon after settling into his new home.  He has trained players in various cities throughout the state and has coached in Weston for over ten years.  Reuben is the girls U9 and U10 head coach as well as being a head coach on the Soccer Tots program

Ritesh Mistry - Ritzy

Ritesh, grew up in Bradford U.K. and is a life long Manchester United supporter. Ritesh has been coaching in the USA for 12 years now. Ritesh has coached on both coasts and a range of different player levels from Recreation players, travel players and premier players. Ritesh has played the game of soccer ever since he was a boy, representing his local town team, playing at the high school level and finally representing his college. Ritesh has developed a love for the sport at a young age and always wanted to be involved in the sport of soccer and thats where his passion to become a coach came from. UEFA / FA Level Two License - National Diploma - USSF Licenses, Bachelor Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science (University of Manchester, UK)

Caio Falcao Leite
Head Coach

Caio Falcao Leite is originally from Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais Estate, Brazil. Caio has a Physical Education Degree from the University of the East of Minas Gerais, he also has a Post-Grad in Soccer, from Federal University of Viçosa in Brazil. Caio has over 11 years of experience coaching soccer. From 2007 to 2009 he was the head coach of a Naque City youth soccer team and also at Naque Soccer Academy. From 2010 to 2015, he was also the U15 and U17 Head Coach at Sports and Recreation Association USIPA in Ipatinga Brazil.  Since 2016 Caio has been coaching in CT for Soccer Edge as Head Coach for different age groups

John Bruno is the head coach of U10 boys team, Goalkeeping coach and also an academy head coach. John's passion for soccer stems from his playing days as a goalkeeper where he played for Beachside, CT ODP, started 3 years for Brien McMahon varsity where he gained all FCIAC honors. John went on to play collegiate soccer for Western Connecticut State University where he studied criminal justice and psychology. John has been coaching and refereeing for over 4 years. John enjoys working with kids. John strives to grow his players technical ability as well as there passion and love for the game.  

Craig Horne - Originally from South Africa, Craig trained professionally with Albertain Callies and while training with them he decided to pursue an education as well as playing soccer overseas in the USA. In 1994, Craig received a soccer scholarship to Lander University in South Carolina, where he went on to graduate with a degree in Marketing Management and a minor in Philosophy.  While at college, Craig became involved with coaching youth teams, including coaching the St Giles U15 Girls Premier team to a South Carolina State Championship. Craig also has a great deal of experience coaching in youth soccer where he has coached premier teams in Connecticut (CFC and Weston KAOS). 

 

Craig also specializes in goalkeeper training. For over 20 years he has used his international flavor and experience to work with boys & girls ages 6-18 years old.
